The Gender Practice Area aims to contribute to the achievement of organizational goals on gender equality and women’s empowerment within the paradigm of human development and the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals. In particular, it develops and strengthens gender skills of national and regional partners, and UNDP Country Offices to mainstream gender in their services, key policies and development results. By means of knowledge management, capacity development and South-South cooperation, it articulates, coordinates, develops and monitors several regional initiatives based on national experiences, technical expertise and best practices.
- The Following are its key lines of work:
-
