The Energy and Environment Practice for Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC E&E) supports Country Offices in strategic planning and programming in the field of energy and environment in pursuit of national sustainable development goals, in particular as they are advanced through the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity and the mitigation of and adaptation to climate change, as well as in the areas of water governance, chemicals management and sustainable land management, in general.

 

The LAC E&E Practice provides substantive support to UNDP COs in LAC in three interconnected areas:

 

1. Support to COs in policy advice or other assistance to governments and other counterparts

2. Support in strategic programming, planning and mainstreaming

3. Support in securing environmental finance.
